Back to San José
Today, our students made their way from the beach to San José, where we started our journey. Before departing, a few intrepid student woke up early to join some of the chaperones for a beach run. Along the way back to the city, we stopped for souvenirs at an artist cooperative in the town of Sarchí and enjoyed a cultural exchange and dancing in the town of Esparza. With the beginning of our trip feeling like both yesterday and forever ago, our students are having the bittersweet realization that this is our last night. I’m sure they will express this realization with lots of laughing and dancing at our “fancy” last dinner in the hills overlooking town. Tomorrow, our students will wake up early for a long day of travel. Parents, please check your student’s flight information and plan to be waiting at the baggage claim EARLY, as these tired chaperones will have work the next day and will certainly want to get home to their families.
